Mobile Apps' Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how AppColors ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in the mobile applications we publish on Google Play. It applies to all of our apps unless a specific app displays its own separate policy.

We have written this in plain language on purpose. If anything here is unclear, please ask us using the contact details at the end.

The short version

  • Most of our apps do not require you to create an account.
  • The content you enter into an app is normally stored on your own device, not on our servers.
  • You can delete that information yourself at any time, and we explain how below.
  • We use analytics to understand how our apps are used. This is not linked to your name or email address.
  • We do not sell your personal information for money. Some of our apps show ads, and you can opt out of personalised advertising at any time.

Information We Collect

Information you enter yourself

Some of our apps let you enter and save information so the app can work — for example health details such as age, height, weight or activity records in a fitness app, notes and preferences in a utility app, or saved items in a reference app.

Unless an app clearly states otherwise, this information is stored only in the app's own storage on your device. We do not upload it to our servers, and we are not able to read it.

Information collected automatically

When you use our apps, limited technical information may be collected automatically, including:

  • Device model, operating system version and language settings
  • App version and configuration
  • General usage events, such as which screens are opened and which features are used
  • Crash and error diagnostics
  • A randomly generated app instance identifier, and in apps that show ads, an advertising identifier

This information is tied to a device or an app installation, not to your name or email address.

Permissions

Individual apps request only the Android permissions they need to function, such as network access to load content, storage access to save or export files, or notification access to deliver reminders you have enabled. The permissions an app uses are listed on its Google Play store page, and Android will ask you before granting sensitive ones. You can change or withdraw permissions at any time in your device settings.

How We Use Information

We use the information described above only in order to:

  • Provide the features of the app and save your content between sessions
  • Understand which features are used, so we can improve them
  • Diagnose crashes, bugs and performance problems
  • Deliver and measure advertising, in the apps that display ads
  • Process purchases and restore them when you reinstall

We do not exchange your personal information for money, and we do not use the content you enter into an app — such as health records, notes or saved items — to target advertising or to build advertising profiles.

Please note that some privacy laws, including those in California, define "sale" or "sharing" broadly enough to cover the use of advertising identifiers for personalised ads. Where that applies to you, the opt-out options in the Advertising section below are available to you.

Data Retention and Deletion

You stay in control of your information. This section explains how to have it removed.

Deleting data stored on your device

Information you have entered into one of our apps is stored on your device and can be deleted by you at any time, without needing to contact us:

  • Clear the app's data. On your Android device, open Settings → Apps → [app name] → Storage → Clear data. This permanently erases everything the app has saved, including your entries, history and preferences.
  • Uninstall the app. Removing an app deletes the data it stored on your device.
  • Delete individual entries. Where an app provides delete or reset options inside the app, those remove the selected records immediately.

Because this information never leaves your device, these steps delete it completely. Deleted data cannot be recovered, so please save or export anything you wish to keep beforehand.

Deleting analytics and diagnostic data

Analytics and crash data are held by our service providers for a limited retention period and are then deleted automatically. If you would like us to delete the analytics data associated with your installation before then, you can ask us to do so.

How to request deletion

To make a data deletion request, email us at info@appcolors.net using the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Please tell us:

  • The name of the app concerned
  • What you would like deleted — for example analytics data, or an account if that app has one
  • The approximate date you installed the app, if you know it

We will acknowledge your request and complete it within 30 days. There is no charge. If there is anything we cannot delete — for example records we are required to keep by law, or data held by Google rather than by us — we will tell you what and why.

Accounts

Most of our apps do not use accounts. Where an app does let you create one, you may ask us to delete the account and its associated data using the same email address above. Deleting an account removes the data stored with it, apart from anything we must retain for legal or accounting reasons.

Purchases

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Play. We never receive or store your payment card details. Google keeps its own records of transactions under its own privacy policy and retention rules, and we cannot delete those on your behalf. To manage them, please contact Google Play support. You can review and cancel subscriptions in the Google Play Store app under Subscriptions.

Third-Party Services

Our apps rely on established third-party services, which may collect information in accordance with their own privacy policies. Depending on the app, these may include:

Not every service listed is used by every app. An app uses only the services needed for the features it offers, and the data it collects is declared in the Data safety section of its Google Play store listing.

Advertising

Some of our apps are supported by advertising. Where ads are shown, we use Google AdMob and Meta Audience Network to select and deliver them.

To do this, these providers may collect and process your device's advertising identifier, coarse location inferred from your IP address, and information about how you interact with the ads shown. They use this to limit repeated ads, to measure performance, and in some regions to personalise the ads you see. This processing is carried out by those companies under their own privacy policies, which are linked in the section above.

You can control this:

  • Reset or delete your advertising ID, or turn off ad personalisation for all apps, in Settings → Google → Ads on your Android device.
  • Adjust Meta's ad settings from your Facebook account settings, if you have one. Meta Audience Network does not require you to have a Facebook account, and we do not link your app activity to any Facebook profile.
  • Where required by law — for example under GDPR in the European Economic Area and the UK — apps that show ads will ask for your consent before any personalised advertising is delivered, and you may decline or withdraw that consent.

Apps that offer a paid ad-free or premium version do not display ads once that purchase is active.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information, and we keep the amount we collect to a minimum — in most of our apps your content stays on your own device, which is the strongest protection we can offer. Please note that no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to certain processing, or to complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

Links to Other Sites

Our apps may link to websites we do not operate. If you follow such a link, we encourage you to read that site's own privacy policy. We have no control over, and take no responsibility for, the content or practices of third-party sites.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add features or change service providers. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Significant changes may also be announced in the app or on the store listing. We encourage you to review this page occasionally.
